Volks Dolpa 21
Sunday, April 12th, 2009Damn you to hell Volks!!!! Now I have to get SDC Sora and SD16 Ami!
ARGH… I feel a bit overwhelmed… where the heck am I gonna keep these dolls… and the SD16 girls are seriously alotta girl too. I need to think about my doll placement situation.
Its really weird also… I told myself 4-5 years ago that I would never get into Volks dolls because all I saw were the standard ones and I wasn’t too fond of them. Then I got the white skinned Dolfie Dream and wasn’t too fond of the yellowish tone of the skin so I sold her.
Then I saw Kurumi. I’ve never seen a doll so adorable…
But Yori came home to me first, then on a compulsive buy Sweet Dreams Kaede and Kanon came home, then I won Pearl in the online Dolpa, and finally after a seriously berserk and insane moment I brought home Kurumi for my birthday (sadly at a very heavy price but I think she’s was totally worth it).
Now they come out with more dolls T_T.
Its weird James how doesn’t know anything about dolls but he seems to very much prefer Volks dolls and Soah.
I’ll have to just fork up the space!

Thursday, April 9th, 2009I felt like going outside to take some pictures today… The time I decided to go out was terrible though and I need to learn how to take pictures with ambient light sources until I get a shoehorn flash. I did order a pop-up flash diffuser, I hope that works well.
I tried taking pictures with my back TO the sun and then vice versa and the results are all crappy. I should play around outside with the camera more.
Leekeworld and Dolga wigs
Tuesday, April 7th, 2009In the past couple of months, I’ve gotten some non pre-order Leekeworld wigs. Then last month, I got some pre-order Dolga wigs.
To tell you the truth, I’m highly disappointed in the Leekeworld wigs. They are too small. Even though I bought the recommended size, they are small. Also… it doesn’t fit well… I don’t mean in size, I mean the style. It doesn’t look like the picture on the website and the wigs aren’t made well… I’m really disappointed in the quality of these 30 dollar wigs… Of the 4 I bought, I’m only using 1 and only because I don’t have another wig ready for that doll… the wig doesn’t look good on the doll… it makes her look gross when her default wig didn’t.
Now I just recently got Dollga wigs and… I must have had a bad batch. I got 3 and only 1 was perfect. The quality of the wigs are nice. The fiber are smooth and soft…but there was a shit ton of damage. I got 2 of the same style wigs but in different sizes. They had wavy hair with 2 tails tied with a ribbon. The smaller one… one of the tails wouldn’t stay down. Like it was literally floating 1 inch away from the base. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get it down. So I had to take out the tails and tuck that strand under to weigh it down… Now how’s that for a $30 wig? The bigger one… the base of one of the tails sticks up…
The worst thing is… I ordered two more in a GO before I got these… I hope these are better then what I got…

More good news is that Kurumi shipped to me today! If I’m lucky I’ll get her Monday but most likely will get her on Tuesday~
